Woolston Community centre 2024 Christmas party dance

Many thanks to all the volunteers who helped make the 2024 party dance such a great success once again.
It takes dedication and no small effort to get all the tasks done in time (and in the right order!) e.g. arranging advertising, selling the tickets, collecting /buying raffle prizes, putting up the Christmas decorations, rigging the special lighting, setting out the furniture, running the raffle on the night and then clearing it all away before bedtime (we leave the Christmas decorations up for the benefit of private parties between now and Christmas).

This year, many of the raffle prizes were kindly donated, which helps a lot with the fund raising.
Ticket and raffle net income amounted to an amazing £389.14, which as always will go towards maintenance and improvements at the centre.

There were a lot of “relaxed” people in the room with smiles on their faces, just having a laugh, enjoying the live music, shaking the occasional limb and puzzling (cursing?) over the cunning quiz questions.
Here are some photos taken on the night, courtesy of Chris Steege.

Let’s hope we can do it all again next year and best wishes to everyone for a happy and healthy 2025.
