The best Christmas Party Dance in town Hands up who needs some Christmas cheer right now! Unfortunately, you’ll have to wait until Saturday 7th December 2024, when Woolston Community Centre will be presenting their annual Christmas party Dance to spread some much needed joy. You can dance the night away to live music from the ever popular local band the Rockafellas, with their infectious blend of rock n’ roll and pop from the sixties and onwards (or just relax, tap you feet and let the music take you somewhere!). Mince pies will be provided free of charge, but bring your own drinks and snacks to suit yourselves. Don’t forget the bottle opener and glasses! As usual, we ask that you take home whatever remains at the end of the evening, including family members. We always have a raffle with some really great prizes on offer. May we suggest that to increase your chances of winning, you buy lots of tickets! There will be an edible prize for the winner of the cunning Christmas Quiz. |
Ticket prices are £8.00 for WCA members, £9.00 for non-members. NO tickets will be for sale on the night and NO under 15s please. Doors open at 7.30pm.
The tickets will be on sale from 31st October 2024 (or thereabouts), but you can place an order by contacting
- Barry or Maureen on 023 8043 2216 / e-mail [email protected]; or
- Lesley 023 8043 1073 / [email protected]
This event has become very popular; tickets numbers will be limited to a comfortable leveland always sell fast, so if you fancy it, why not book a table for family and friends for a brilliant night out.
The building is fully accessible and there is parking on site.

Community garden volunteers needed:
The Community Centre garden mainly features mature shrubs with a wide range of foliage colours, which along with some hardy flowering plants provide a colourful display all year round. Congratulations to all of the garden team for the amazing transformation of a derelict space at the community centre. This was due in no small part to the enthusiasm of founder team member Ray Sturgess, who sadly passed away in 2022. A plaque in his memory was presented to his family and is displayed on the back wall, which borders the house he lived in.
If you would like to volunteer to help with the upkeep of this garden please email: [email protected]
